LOUIS VUITTON’S World Cup travel case was unveiled at last night’s final in South Africa. Fabio Cannavaro, captain of the Italian football team and winner of the 2006 tournament, brought the case onto the pitch at the end of last night’s game with the Trophy held safely inside before it was handed to the victorious Spanish team.

 ”We were particularly excited to be associated in such a way with the FIFA World Cup final, an event which unites nations the entire world,” said Pietro Beccari, executive vice-president of Louis Vuitton.

 FIFA placed a special order with the French luxury label to create the ultimate travel case a few months ago. Naomi Campbell launched the custom-made, 18-ct-gold design in early June.
